Cros-Lex senior Brynn Hurley recently committed to further her academic and athletic career with St. Clair County Community College.
Hurley qualified for the state meet in cross country all four years of her high school career, during which the Pioneers won back-to-back BWAC and regional team titles in 2022 and 2023. She also qualified for track state meet competition in her junior and senior years in the 4x800 relay, which set the BWAC (10:02) and school record (9:46) in 2024. Hurley has PRs of 19:56 for cross country, 5:47 for the 1600, and 12:20 for the 3200.
"I chose SC4 because it is close to home and provides the field of study I plan on following," Hurley commented. "It really offers the big college feel, too." Hurley plans to study in the science field to pursue a career in agriculture.
