Glen Davis Commits to Central Michigan University

After a stellar first season running cross country for St. Clair County Community College, Glen Davis has committed to continuing his athletic and academic career at Central Michigan University. Davis is the current SC4 school record holder for the 8K (25:35), along with being named the Michigan Community College Athletic Association’s (MCCAA) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week twice and the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete Award of the Week - the first athlete from St. Clair County to do so for cross country.

Davis graduated in the spring of 2023 from Port Huron Northern High School and competed in cross country and indoor and outdoor track. He has a personal record of 1:59 in the 800-meter run, 4:27 in the 1600-meter run, and 9:30 in the 3200-meter run. He qualified for the state finals in the 3200 and the 4 x 800-meter relay.

When asked why he decided on CMU, Davis stated, "I chose Central Michigan because of the great team atmosphere and the great coaches. The team felt like a family to me from the second I got there on my visit and the coaches were great to me. I cannot wait to be a part of the successful program at CMU."

Best wishes to Glen Davis on this next step in his career!
